This has been a crazy week. My honey came home on Sunday afternoon from home teaching and honked at me from the driveway. I thought why isn't he just coming in. Well as I rounded the corner I knew why. He looked like he was 90 years old. He was hunched over and shuffling his feet a little at a time. My heart just about gave out. I thought oh know here we go again.
He was so weak and was hurting so much he couldn't take care of him self, he couldn't raise his arms or change his clothes. The sweet boy just had tears coming down his face, saying why now after Five years?
Yep He had a major flare up, his symptoms were just like the beginning when he was diagnosed with his disease. Horrible soar throat, so much so that you cant swallow your own saliva. High fever of 103.9, all his joints hurt and he could not get comfortable. He was sick all night and into the next day. We did what we have done in the past with his meds and thought that would work.
By Tuesday he was doing alot better but we thought we would take him in to the Dr just in case. They tested him for the flu, but it was negative. By wed he was well on his way to recovery, we thought. That night he spiked another fever, got dehydrated and started throwing up. The Dr wanted us to take him to the ER so off we went. They wanted to admit him to rehydrate him for 24 hours. The dr kept saying he thought he was a false negative for the flu and pretty much told me that is what he thought that he had. I told him these are the same symptoms he gets when he flares.
I tried telling him what they always did back home, but to no avail.
(He just looked at me like your crazy I am the Dr), He has never worked with a stills patient before. They would not even give him his regular meds. Just pumped him full of prednisone and morphine. Well who wouldn't start to feel better after that. Oh how I miss our Dr back home, he was a true blessing when it came to my man.
By the next morning My honey called and said come get me and bring my meds, I haven't had any since yesterday. Well my bee was in my bonnet, and off I went livid to say the least. We checked him out and I am taking care of him now. He is doing better, not fully recovered but much better than the first of the week. The hard part is little man, and sunshine have never seen it. It bothered them alot to see there daddy crying and in pain. Mac Is such a trooper, she was so concerned for her daddy and took the little kids away and played with them. Talk about an angel from above. I love that girl.
I have to say thank you to all of My wonderful friends who just stepped right up and came over at 6 a.m to get my kiddos ready for school, watched little man, made us dinner and bathed the kiddos, so when I got him it was all done. What wonderful friends we have. I cant say thank you enough to all of the sweet phone calls, emails, meals, and love. We truly can feel the prayers you send to us. We love you all.
Thank you for your prayers

May the Lord's blessings be with all of you. Hard to have left him like he was. So glad he is ding better! Too many memories about what that disease can do. Hang in there. Sure love all of you. Nat, you are a gem to remember all the medical stuff about him. I'm glad that you are in his corner! Love Granny

Oh nat im sorry. i hope he keeps gettin better. ill pray for you guys.
I'm putting your names in the Mesa Temple. I'm amazed at the ignorance and lack of professionalism of those doctors. It's a blessing you have the knowledge of what to do to help him. Is Ryan regaining his momentum again? I sure miss seeing you and love you so much. Aunt Kay
