After this experience I can say it has really been a very stressful week. When you feel you do not have any emotional or physical support with your Doctors it is an eye opener to what you DONT want.
First Angel came into play on sunday, our Dr back home ran into dar and the first thing out of his mouth was how is your son? She told him of our experience, and he completely felt for us. Just told us to hop on a plane and he would make him better. It makes you feel so good when a Dr truly cares about you. And with him you know it is heart felt. It gives you hope that there are others out there.
Yesterday we went to see the RA Dr. Lets just say it was not a very good experience.
We were both literally in tears and felt so frustrated by the end of the appointment. My honey had just had it, he didnt yell but he got very stern with the dr and asked him if he had ever read his medical file from our old Dr. The dr was so caught off guard that he just blurted out NO. Not a shocker there, since he really does not know us except to see my hubby once a year for follow ups. We asked him why not and he just stuttered and said I guess I could. Do you think, I thought!!
We finally were able to discuss the situation and my honey started some new meds, I think that will help.
Then Today came and we were blessed with Number Two sweet angel of a Doctor.
I googled Drs who deal with stills disease in our area and her name popped up. The crazy thing is I had just talked to a friend of mine who said she had heard of this Dr and had heard wonderful things about her. So we made an apt. We went and saw her today, and let me tell you what a breath of fresh air. She was attentive and understood everything we had to say, and she knew about the disease and the symptoms. She also opened our eyes to some other things we didnt know. She was so helpful, and kind. When she left the room after spending almost 45 minutes with us, My honey and I just looked at each other, and felt a huge sye of relief. We felt like we finally have found someone that understands us. . So here is a huge Thank you for Two Sweet Angels in the past two days.

She is the best isn't she? We owe her Ralph's life! A true angel indeed. Glad to hear she is helping you in the way that you need and deserve.
Thanks for the Update Nat. You guys are in our prayers!!!
I've been wondering how you folks have been doing. You and Ryan have been in my prayers constantly. I'm so glad you found a doctor you can actually get some help from.
Honestly, this is why I've about written off neurologists. I've never found any of them to be worth much, ESPECIALLY when they won't listen to what I the mom have to say. Gosh, it's not like I'm not around my kid day in and day out.
Thank goodness that help has arrived for you. Love Granny
Doesn't it make all the difference to have a Dr. completely on your same page. I'm so happy you found a new one.
Nat, I'm so glad you found another DR. Unfortunately Doctor's are just a crap shoot... I'm glad you have a better one now. We love you guys!
SO glad you found a good doctor. We'll keep praying for you guys. What a trial.
Ny prayers were answered. I am so relieved you finally found one that cared and knew something about Stills.
