First Tooth Trauma

Yes, can you believe my poor little brutas had his first trauma with the mouth, he was in the tub and was playing around and slipped and fell. I was at work and my honey thought he just cut his lip. The next morning when he woke up I looked in his mouth and I just felt sick. Granted there are worse things but I do feel bad.
Truly this picture does not do it justice but the front of his tooth has been pushed back to the back of the one next to it.

Pressure

Today My man is giving the biggest presentation of his career. His company is going before the board of directors, politicians, all the big wigs out here and the Media.
And who gets to present, you got it. Not to mention the fact that he has only been with this company for 3 months and he has to do all the stats and facts of the last year. He has been preparing non stop for days. I know he will do a good job and that's what I tell him, he in return tells me I just want you on your knees and praying at 2:15. So if any are out there and read this please help us and pray that all goes well at that meeting today. Thanks for all your love and support.

Happy Birthday #36

This is him making his wish, Hmmm wonder what that is?
My sweet heart turned the big 36 today. It started off with bacon, oatmeal and OJ. Then the presents. He got a watch and a pair of pants that I need to take back.
I surprised him at work, which is really stepping out of the box for me, since I never travel into uncharted territory's.
Then he came home to his favorite meal, steak, potato's,broccoli and frog eye.
I think he had a pretty good day. Anyway happy bday to you sweet heart. We love you.

Halloween 2009

Sunshine was a witch this year and Brutas was a tiger. They went trick or treating for the last three nights. Once at church, then at the YMCA, then Halloween night. Lets just say we have way to much junk in this house, they are making great efforts to get rid of it.

Is this not Hilarious, They just crack me up. This is what my honey did while I was working. Hmm what else goes on while I am not here?

Two Sweet Angels

After this experience I can say it has really been a very stressful week. When you feel you do not have any emotional or physical support with your Doctors it is an eye opener to what you DONT want.

First Angel came into play on sunday, our Dr back home ran into dar and the first thing out of his mouth was how is your son? She told him of our experience, and he completely felt for us. Just told us to hop on a plane and he would make him better. It makes you feel so good when a Dr truly cares about you. And with him you know it is heart felt. It gives you hope that there are others out there.

Yesterday we went to see the RA Dr. Lets just say it was not a very good experience.
We were both literally in tears and felt so frustrated by the end of the appointment. My honey had just had it, he didnt yell but he got very stern with the dr and asked him if he had ever read his medical file from our old Dr. The dr was so caught off guard that he just blurted out NO. Not a shocker there, since he really does not know us except to see my hubby once a year for follow ups. We asked him why not and he just stuttered and said I guess I could. Do you think, I thought!!
We finally were able to discuss the situation and my honey started some new meds, I think that will help.

Then Today came and we were blessed with Number Two sweet angel of a Doctor.
I googled Drs who deal with stills disease in our area and her name popped up. The crazy thing is I had just talked to a friend of mine who said she had heard of this Dr and had heard wonderful things about her. So we made an apt. We went and saw her today, and let me tell you what a breath of fresh air. She was attentive and understood everything we had to say, and she knew about the disease and the symptoms. She also opened our eyes to some other things we didnt know. She was so helpful, and kind. When she left the room after spending almost 45 minutes with us, My honey and I just looked at each other, and felt a huge sye of relief. We felt like we finally have found someone that understands us. . So here is a huge Thank you for Two Sweet Angels in the past two days.

Thank you for your prayers

This has been a crazy week. My honey came home on Sunday afternoon from home teaching and honked at me from the driveway. I thought why isn't he just coming in. Well as I rounded the corner I knew why. He looked like he was 90 years old. He was hunched over and shuffling his feet a little at a time. My heart just about gave out. I thought oh know here we go again.
He was so weak and was hurting so much he couldn't take care of him self, he couldn't raise his arms or change his clothes. The sweet boy just had tears coming down his face, saying why now after Five years?
Yep He had a major flare up, his symptoms were just like the beginning when he was diagnosed with his disease. Horrible soar throat, so much so that you cant swallow your own saliva. High fever of 103.9, all his joints hurt and he could not get comfortable. He was sick all night and into the next day. We did what we have done in the past with his meds and thought that would work.
By Tuesday he was doing alot better but we thought we would take him in to the Dr just in case. They tested him for the flu, but it was negative. By wed he was well on his way to recovery, we thought. That night he spiked another fever, got dehydrated and started throwing up. The Dr wanted us to take him to the ER so off we went. They wanted to admit him to rehydrate him for 24 hours. The dr kept saying he thought he was a false negative for the flu and pretty much told me that is what he thought that he had. I told him these are the same symptoms he gets when he flares.
I tried telling him what they always did back home, but to no avail.
(He just looked at me like your crazy I am the Dr), He has never worked with a stills patient before. They would not even give him his regular meds. Just pumped him full of prednisone and morphine. Well who wouldn't start to feel better after that. Oh how I miss our Dr back home, he was a true blessing when it came to my man.

By the next morning My honey called and said come get me and bring my meds, I haven't had any since yesterday. Well my bee was in my bonnet, and off I went livid to say the least. We checked him out and I am taking care of him now. He is doing better, not fully recovered but much better than the first of the week. The hard part is little man, and sunshine have never seen it. It bothered them alot to see there daddy crying and in pain. Mac Is such a trooper, she was so concerned for her daddy and took the little kids away and played with them. Talk about an angel from above. I love that girl.
I have to say thank you to all of My wonderful friends who just stepped right up and came over at 6 a.m to get my kiddos ready for school, watched little man, made us dinner and bathed the kiddos, so when I got him it was all done. What wonderful friends we have. I cant say thank you enough to all of the sweet phone calls, emails, meals, and love. We truly can feel the prayers you send to us. We love you all.

Volleyball Update

Good job Mac!!!!
She has just lit up the court the last two games, We are so happy for her, and think she is doing a wonderful job. It keeps her really busy and she has no time for fun, but I think she thinks this is fun. So life is good.

Bow Holder

Sunshine had so many bows I needed to do something for them. SO here it is. I love it. It made a perfect addition to the bathroom wall.

My Family

My cute sister sent this picture of all of us that we had done a couple of years ago. I love it. I wish I was still the same age. So cute Thanks Nelle.

Mac's First Volleyball Game

Sorry about the pics, they are blury but that is what happens when you have a two year old and five year old climbing on you while you take pics and camcord at the same time. OOPS better ones next time.

They lost the first game.

They won the second one.

Bummer lost the third.

But wow did she do great!!! They have a little work to do, but all in all we were so happy for her. Brutas and Sunshine watched pretty much most of it. Next game is at home. We cant wait!!!!!

Labor Day

Mac's BFF came with us, We went to a little farm for a couple of hours and then to a bbq at our friends house. The kids had such a great time.

Mac was a little bit scared of a little butterfly.

Off we go on a hayride. The kids loved it.

Out with the old and in with the New

Ma's 40 year old fridge finally bit the dust, But it sure served us well. My hubby is so sensitive he had to have a pic of it. He said it was one of the last things he had off his grandma.

And this is the replacement. I love it. And hopefully our electric bill will go down, since the big yellow beast sucked quite a bit of it.
